Role overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our Marketing team. You will work closely with the Social Media Manager to grow our social media presence across multiple platforms through dynamic video content, creative photography, engaging blog writing, and active community engagement.

Duties

  • Assisting with content creation – produce high\-quality photos, videos, and graphics for all social media platforms, including, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube and TikTok

  • Identifying trends and keeping up with changes across platforms

  • Monitor community engagement, responding to comments, messages and engaging with crafters

  • Updating Pinterest with free patterns

  • Monitor performances across platforms

  • Writing blog posts for The Craft Room, this may involve interviewing designers, staff at other yarn brands, and collaborating with staff in other departments at Wool Warehouse

  • Proposing ideas to support Yarnsmiths brand launches, including photography, pattern ideas, and identifying designers to send yarn

  • Other duties to support the Marketing team

Experience
  • Comfortable filming, speaking and demonstrating on camera

  • Experience in using mobile editing apps (CapCut, Edits) along with being able to edit content in Adobe (Photoshop/InDesign) and Canva

  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to adapt different tones for different platforms (TikTok, Facebook, WordPress, etc.)

  • Knowledge of knit, crochet and other crafts

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reports to: Social Media Manager

Location: Office based (Leamington Spa)

Hours: Monday to Friday (8am \- 4pm)

Start date: Mid\-August

Pay: £28,000\.00 per year
