Social Media \& Content Executive

Earthbound is a family\-run business that designs and manufactures premium pet beds and accessories. We operate across both B2B and B2C channels, supplying over 250 retail stockists and selling directly to consumers through our website. Every aspect of the business, production, packing, marketing, and distribution, is handled in\-house by a close\-knit team.

*Who we are looking for*

A creative, dog\-loving marketing creative to join our small but mighty team in a hands\-on role spanning social media content creation and website work.

We're looking for someone who brings plenty of personality to everything they do. Vocal with your ideas, naturally curious, and always keen to experiment, whether that's testing a new content format, exploring a fresh visual direction, or finding the perfect angle for a reel. You follow trends, but you think for yourself too.

You're comfortable on camera, have a good eye for design and photography, and know how to bring humour and warmth into your work without losing sight of the brand. You take feedback well, adapt quickly, and never wait to be told what to do next.

Most importantly: you love dogs. Not just in passing, genuinely, passionately, from experience. Our products are made for dogs, bought by people who care deeply about them, and that understanding needs to come naturally to you.

You'll have real ownership over how our content and brand presence develop from the ground up, with support from the wider team as you grow into the role. If you're proactive, hands\-on, and ready to learn in a close\-knit environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation and Strategy

  • Contribute to a social media strategy aligned with business objectives

  • Create engaging, platform\-appropriate content across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and beyond, including imagery, video and infographics

  • Help maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and a coherent brand story

  • Craft storytelling that brings our brand to life and connects with our audience

  • Produce and develop branded assets with creative freedom
Community Management
  • Monitor comments, mentions, and audience responses across platforms, responding where appropriate and flagging anything relevant to the team
Analytics and Performance Tracking
  • Track and analyse social media performance metrics (engagement rate, reach, impressions, clicks, etc.)

  • Use data and insights to inform content decisions
Trend Analysis and Innovation
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices

  • Experiment with emerging platforms and formats to drive engagement

  • Support the team in identifying opportunities to connect social media with wider marketing activity, such as email marketing ideas and SEO
Compliance and Brand Voice
  • Ensure all content aligns with the company's tone, voice, and values

  • Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines, including copyright laws and advertising standards
Skills \& Competencies
  • Confident across key social media platforms, with a strong instinct for trends and how to apply them in a way that feels authentic to the brand

  • Photography skills are essential, a good eye and the ability to shoot content independently

  • Videography and video editing skills (CapCut or similar) are a must

  • Genuinely creative, with the ability to produce compelling content using the platforms and tools available

  • Resourceful and comfortable working with a modest budget without it limiting output

  • Strong graphic design skills (Photoshop, Canva, or similar)

  • Strong copywriting and storytelling ability

  • A keen interest in AI tools and how they can be used creatively

  • Experience with webpage design and the Shopify platform is advantageous

  • Working knowledge of SEO

  • Well\-organised, able to manage multiple tasks, and reliable with deadlines

  • Self\-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience
  • Some hands\-on experience in content creation, social media, or digital marketing, through a degree, placement, freelance work, or running channels of your own, is expected, but we're more interested in your portfolio and instincts than your job title history

  • Prior experience with photography or videography is a strong advantage

  • This is a great opportunity for someone early in their marketing career looking to take real ownership and grow into a broader role as the business and your experience develop
