We are seeking passionate and innovative Social Care Workers who are committed to person\-centred and rights\-based practice.
The successful candidate will have:
Ø Degree in Social Care or equivalent qualification recognised by CORU.
Ø Current CORU Registration.
Ø Minimum of 2 years' experience working within disability services.
Ø Experience supporting individuals with severe to profound intellectual disabilities and complex support needs.
Ø Demonstrated experience of Person\-Centred Planning and Key Working.
Ø Excellent understanding of:
- New Directions
- Assisted Decision\-Making (Capacity) Act 2015
- Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
- Positive Behaviour Support
- Human Rights and Advocacy
- Risk Management
- Community Inclusion
Ø Ability to develop natural supports, social roles and community connections.
Ø Excellent report writing, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Ø Fluent written and spoken English.
Ø Full clean manual driving licence.
Desirable Experience
Ø Educational, training or teaching experience.
Ø Experience supporting learning and skill development programmes.

Ø AAC Communication Systems
Ø Multidisciplinary Team Working
Ø Supporting individuals with complex communication needs.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can combine social care practice with educational approaches and who are passionate about supporting people with severe to profound intellectual disabilities to learn, grow and participate fully in their communities.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and review Person\-Centred Plans (PCPs), support goal setting and outcome tracking, undertake research into evidence\-based practice and innovative supports, contribute to curriculum and programme development, promote communication and independence, facilitate community participation, and work collaboratively with families, therapists and other professionals to achieve meaningful outcomes for the people we support.
