Duties

• Assist residents and clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and safety


• Support patient care routines including medication administration, health monitoring, and basic nursing tasks in accordance with care plans


• Provide specialized Alzheimer's, dementia, hospice, or senior care to meet individual needs with patience and empathy


• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with meal consumption when necessary


• Engage in behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and reduce agitation or distress


• Drive clients to appointments or outings safely while maintaining proper documentation of transportation activities


• Perform light housekeeping duties and ensure the environment remains clean, organized, and welcoming

Skills

• Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments with a strong understanding of patient needs


• Knowledge of nursing home procedures, dementia care techniques, and hospice support practices


• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers


• Excellent caregiving skills combined with effective communication and active listening abilities


• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and first aid procedures


• Capable of managing challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism


• Valid driving license for transportation duties; experience with child or elder care is a plus
