On behalf of our client in public health, we are currently recruiting Social Care Workers to join a dedicated team based in Killarney. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a multidisciplinary service, supporting service users to maximise their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life in a person\-centred environment. Both full\-time and part\-time opportunities may be available.
Main Duties
- Support service users in accordance with person\-centred care plans, promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
- Build positive, professional relationships with service users while encouraging participation in daily living, social, and community activities.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of individual care and support plans.
- Promote the rights, welfare, and safeguarding of service users at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure high\-quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation in line with organisational policies and professional standards.
- Report and record incidents, concerns, and changes in service users’ wellbeing promptly and appropriately.
- Participate in team meetings, handovers, supervision, and training as required.
- Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and support service users in line with established protocols.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute positively to the continuous improvement of the service.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role as required by management.
- A recognised qualification in Social Care or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- CORU registration, or evidence of eligibility or application for registration where applicable.
- Previous experience in a health or social care setting is desirable.
- A person\-centred approach with a genuine commitment to supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Strong IT and record\-keeping skills.
- A good standard of written and spoken English.
- A full clean driving licence may be required.
