Small Works Manager
ASX GROUP LTD (Asterix Maintenance) is looking for a skilled small works manager to join the business on Full Time / PERMANENT \- *Self Employed Basis* \- Paid Weekly / Invoiced \- AND TWO WEEKS PAID HOLIDAY \- THE ROLE ALSO COMES WITH A BONUS SCHEME (Profit \+ Performance Based) o manage the Small / Minor Works Division of the company.
The Small Works Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all quoted works \- ranging in values from £1,000 to £20,000\.
The succesful person will be working closely with the Maintenance Division \- supporting in technical knowledge, and working on producing quotes \- following Maintenance Tradesman attending site and advising quotes required.
This role requires effective communication and leadership skills to manage a diverse team, implement efficient processes, and foster a positive working environment. They will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement within the organisation.
You will need to cover planning, organizing and managing live works. A commercial understanding of construction industry tasks is imperative for the role to succeed, although supplementary training can be provided.
The role will require you to complete site surveys, quality checks and handovers with customers, in addition to weekly updates to the senior management team.
Duties
- Supervise and manage all aspects of works operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Lead, motivate, and support team members to achieve performance goals while promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as necessary to meet changing demands.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect quality of work, safety and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate activities and resolve any operational issues.
- Prepare reports on pipeline of customer quote requests, live works, and planned future works.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the construction industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent problem\-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Knowledge, and implementation of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff.
- A commitment to continuous improvement practices and operational excellence.
The position comes with the use of a Company Pool Vehicle for all site visits.
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,000\.00\-£36,000\.00 per year
