On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting\-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Skilled Welder for a 12 month contract based in Bristol.

Job description \- the role

On a typical day as a Skilled Welder, you will be expected to; engage in Health and Safety activity, produce components at the highest Quality, follow Manufacturing Instructions and Data Cards and work to meet high volume requirements.

As a Skilled Welder you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining our excellent quality standards, being an integral part of our manufacturing process.

  • Welding of Nickel, Steel and Alloys using various processes including TIG welding in accordance with defined specifications and procedures, as detailed within the Manufacturing Instructions and Data Cards.

  • The role will require you to work to tight tolerances, experience of this will need to be demonstrated at interview.

  • Work within strict HS\&E guidelines, Maintaining a clean and safe environment.

  • We work within a cutting edge manufacturing facility, so a basic IT knowledge is essential.
What we require from the candidate:
  • Completed a recognised time\-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline. (Original trade papers must be available for review at interview).

  • Experienced of Welding Aerospace standards.

  • Experience in working with Nickels/Steels and Alloys.

  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings (considered an asset).

  • Professional and flexible attitude, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.

  • Able to willing to work a multi\-shift pattern including nights.

  • Be self\-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.

  • Understand how to maintain a clean and safe environment in the workplace and how to work to set deadlines to achieve performance targets.

  • An up\-to\-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.
