Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail\-driven Site Surveyor \& Sales Designer to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines technical site surveying with client\-facing design consultation and sales. You’ll be the bridge between what’s possible on\-site and what the client envisions—translating practical realities into beautiful, buildable solutions using ArtiCAD.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Surveying Duties
- Visit client sites to conduct accurate, detailed surveys for kitchens and bedroom furniture installations.
- Record precise measurements, note service points (plumbing, electrical), ceiling heights, and structural constraints.
- Identify any access or installation challenges and communicate them clearly to the design and production teams.
- Prepare well\-documented survey reports including annotated photographs and room layouts.
- Meet with prospective clients (in\-home or showroom) to understand their needs, aesthetic preferences, and budgets.
- Develop and present design proposals using ArtiCAD, tailored to both client vision and technical feasibility.
- Guide clients through product options, finishes, hardware, and layout considerations.
- Build trust and rapport with customers, converting design consultations into confirmed sales.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handover from design to production and installation.
- Follow up on leads, manage client expectations, and provide exceptional aftercare.
- Preferable experience in KBB design, surveying, or sales within the kitchen and/or bedroom furniture industry.
- Proficient in ArtiCAD or similar kitchen design software (training can be offered for the right candidate).
- Strong measuring skills with proficiency in laser tools and manual measuring techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural flair for sales and customer service.
- Strong visual sense, attention to detail, and a practical mindset to balance design and functionality.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.
- Background in kitchen or wardrobe fitting, cabinetry, or interior design.
- A good understanding of modern and traditional furniture styles, finishes, and materials.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously.
