We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman/ Working Foreman/ Qualified Carpenter to manage high\-quality residential construction projects throughout Dublin.

We are a Property Development Company \& Main Contractor on all our own projects. Our work primarily consists of residential housing estates but we also do small scale projects to bridge supply chain gaps. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day\-to\-day operations of a site/ sites, from initial setup through to completion and handover.

This is a hands\-on position suited to an experienced working foreman or a qualified Lead Trades Person, who takes pride in delivering an exceptional standard of workmanship and finish. This role is suited to an experienced tradesperson who can lead people, plan works ahead, coordinate multiple trades and keep a project moving safely and professionally.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the day\-to\-day operation of residential construction sites.

  • Coordinate employees, subcontractors, suppliers and site deliveries.

  • Plan and schedule works to ensure projects progress efficiently.

  • Allocate tasks and supervise workmanship across all trades.

  • Monitor programme deadlines and report on site progress.

  • Order materials and ensure they are available when required.

  • Read and work from construction drawings, specifications and schedules.

  • Liaise professionally with clients, architects, engineers and project managers.

  • Identify and resolve construction issues as they arise.

  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

  • Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, building regulations and company quality standards.

  • Manage site records, purchase orders, delivery documentation and progress reports using the company’s IT systems.

  • Oversee snagging, quality control and preparation for project handover.

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed by all personnel on site.
Candidate requirements

The successful candidate should have:

  • At least five years’ relevant construction experience.

  • Previous experience as a Site Foreman, Working Foreman, Lead Trades Person or in a similar supervisory role.

  • Proven experience delivering high\-end residential renovations, extensions or new\-build homes.

  • Strong practical knowledge of general construction, including groundworks, blockwork, carpentry, plumbing and electrical services, etc.

  • A strong understanding of sequencing trades and managing construction programmes.

  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly regarding high\-quality finishes.

  • The ability to organise and supervise employees and subcontractors.

  • Strong communication and problem\-solving skills.

  • The confidence to deal professionally with clients and members of the design team.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use digital systems for site reporting, purchase orders and record\-keeping.

  • A full, clean driving licence.

  • A valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificate.

  • A valid Telehandler CSCS Card is a bonus, but if candiate does not have one training can be provided.

  • A relevant construction trade qualification or substantial equivalent experience.

  • Good written and spoken English.

  • The ability to travel between project locations throughout Dublin and surrounding areas.

Working hours

Full\-time, Monday to Friday, based primarily on an nine\-hour working day. Additional hours may occasionally be required depending on project demands.
