Key Responsibilities
- Consistently demonstrate, promote, and develop high standards of safety performance, leading by example at all times.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage programmes of work to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements and industry regulations.
- Act as a competent person for gas operations, including flow stopping, commissioning, and other activities in line with Safe Control of Operations (SCO) procedures.
- Manage and monitor direct, subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure contractual objectives and performance standards are achieved.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, local authorities, stakeholders, and members of the public.
- Lead engineering and operational teams to maximise productivity, safety performance, and service delivery.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and performance reviews to maintain compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support senior management in driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
- Promote employee engagement through regular team briefings, toolbox talks, safety communications, and development opportunities.
- Investigate and resolve customer enquiries, complaints, and claims in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with incident investigations, reporting processes, and the completion of corrective actions.
- Support temporary works activities and fulfil Temporary Works Supervisor responsibilities where required.
- Monitor workforce performance, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and zero tolerance for non\-compliance.
- Participate in standby and emergency call\-out duties when required.
- Undertake any additional duties reasonably associated with the role.
- Previous experience within the gas, utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
- Supervisory or site management experience is desirable.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence performance, and promote a positive safety culture.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of industry legislation, codes of practice, and statutory regulations.
- Experience delivering construction and maintenance activities safely and compliantly.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

- Authorising Engineer for Permit to Work for Excavations (SCO2\)

- Deep Excavation Qualification

Pay: £50,000\.00\-£60,000\.00 per year
