Site / Setting Out Engineer – Austria

Project: Tier 1 Civils Project
Duration: Ongoing until Christmas
Rate: €500 – €600 per day

The Role

PROSITEUK are currently looking for an experienced Site / Setting Out Engineer to join an ongoing civils project in Kronstorf, Austria, working for a Tier 1 client.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who is confident working independently on a busy civils project and has a strong background in roads, drainage, kerbing and external works.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day\-to\-day engineering requirements on site, ensuring works are accurately set out and delivered in accordance with project specifications and drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out kerb lines and associated external works


• Setting out drainage and underground services


• Setting out road construction and build\-ups


• Carrying out engineering and site surveys


• Completing as\-built surveys and records


• Providing general site engineering and QA support


• Checking levels, coordinates and dimensions


• Working from construction drawings and specifications


• Liaising directly with the client and other project stakeholders


• Attending site and project meetings where required


• Supporting the wider site team with day\-to\-day engineering requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer


• Strong experience within civils, particularly roads, drainage, kerbing and external works


• Ability to work independently and confidently on site


• Good understanding of engineering drawings, levels and coordinates


• Experience completing setting out and as\-built surveys


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent site experience


• Own surveying / engineering equipment would be beneficial, although equipment can be provided

Right to Work

As this project is based in Austria, applicants must hold a suitable European passport or existing right to work in Austria.

Package

• €500 – €600 per day, depending on experience


• Accommodation provided for the duration of the project


• Initial flight to Austria provided


• Return flight home provided upon completion of the project


• Surveying / engineering equipment can be provided where required


• Ongoing project until Christmas

Please note that any personal trips home during the project, including weekend flights or additional travel, would be at the engineer's own expense.
