SITE ENGINEER
We are recruiting an experienced Site Engineer to join the delivery team on an exciting hotel construction and refurbishment project in Dublin. This is an immediate\-start opportunity with a negotiable package and a strong pipeline of follow\-on work.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager or Project Manager, you will provide accurate setting\-out, technical coordination and quality assurance across the project. You will maintain reliable survey and construction records, support the resolution of design issues and make sure the works follow coordinated information and agreed tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
\- Establish, check and protect project control points, datums, grids and benchmarks
\- Set out and verify foundations, structural elements, openings, drainage, external works, partitions and finishes
\- Carry out surveys, dimensional and level checks and quality inspections, with clear, traceable records
\- Check drawings, specifications, schedules and models for discrepancies and raise RFIs in good time
\- Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, fire and M\&E information, including service routes, penetrations, risers and finished levels
\- Maintain setting\-out records, inspection and test records, marked\-up drawings and as\-built information
\- Support the submittal, sample and approval process and keep current information available at the work face
\- Assist the Site Manager with planning, quantities, progress measurement and subcontractor coordination
\- Check subcontractor setting\-out and workmanship
\- Support quality control across concrete, steel, blockwork, envelope, fit\-out and building services
\- Contribute to BCAR inspection records, O\&M inputs and final as\-built drawings
\- Follow project safety arrangements and approved RAMS
Essential
\- Degree, diploma or recognised technical qualification in civil engineering, construction, surveying or a related discipline
\- Site engineering experience on building projects – hotel, commercial, residential, fit\-out or refurbishment experience is an advantage
\- Competent setting out with total station, laser level, GPS or similar survey equipment
\- Able to interpret and coordinate drawings, specifications, schedules and digital models
\- Strong understanding of tolerances, quality inspections and as\-built records
\- Clear communication, practical judgement and attention to detail
\- Competent with AutoCAD or equivalent, PDF mark\-up and standard office applications
\- Current Safe Pass and legal entitlement to work in Ireland
Desirable
\- Experience with Revit or BIM coordination, digital field tools or document\-control platforms
\- Knowledge of BCAR inspection records and handover requirements
\- Experience with complex building\-services coordination and high\-quality architectural finishes
\- Manual Handling, First Aid or other relevant site training
\- Full clean driving licence
