Simulator Production Manager \-Formula 1
Job Type: Full Time
Location: Banbury, UK / International Travel
Pay: £30,000 \- £40,000 (open to negotiation depending on experience)

For over 10 years, Live Wire has delivered technology, AV, and immersive experiences across Formula 1 and major live events worldwide. Supporting leading F1 teams and Formula 1 Management across all 24 races, our work spans hospitality suites, paddocks, garages, pit walls, fan zones, factory environments, and simulator facilities.

Alongside motorsport, we deliver technical production and live event solutions across concerts, festivals, theatre, conferences, and venues including the Southbank Centre and Barbican. Based in Banbury, we are a fast\-growing company working in some of the most demanding and exciting live production environments in the world.

About the Role

We are looking to appoint a Simulator Production Manager to lead the planning, coordination, installation, operation, and delivery of simulator projects. This role combines technical knowledge, production management, resource planning, and stakeholder coordination to ensure simulator systems are delivered to the highest standards.

You will work closely with clients, project managers, technicians, suppliers, and operational teams to oversee simulator builds, testing programmes, event activations, and factory\-based installations. The successful candidate will thrive in fast\-paced environments, be highly organised, and have a strong understanding of technical production and operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of simulator projects from concept through to completion.

  • Manage simulator installations, upgrades, maintenance schedules, and operational readiness.

  • Coordinate technical resources, equipment, personnel, and logistics.

  • Work closely with clients to understand requirements and deliver exceptional service.

  • Develop project schedules, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.

  • Manage suppliers and external contractors where required.

  • Ensure simulator systems are tested, calibrated, and fully operational before deployment.

  • Oversee on\-site delivery, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational support.

  • Collaborate with internal departments including Technical, Projects, Operations, and Production.

  • Produce project documentation, reports, risk assessments, and operational procedures.

  • Monitor project performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Support innovation and development of simulator technologies and workflows.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements at all times.
Skills \& Experience Required
  • Experience managing complex technical projects or productions.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills.

  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and resources.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making skills.

  • Understanding of technical systems, networking, AV, IT, or simulator technologies.

  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and project documentation.

  • Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours when required.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience within Formula 1, motorsport, esports, simulation, gaming, or technical production environments.

  • Knowledge of racing simulators, motion platforms, visual systems and control systems.

  • Experience with CAD drawings, technical schematics, and system design documentation.

  • Understanding of networking infrastructure and system integration.

  • Experience managing warehouse preparation and deployment processes.
