Showroom Manager - ercol Chelsea
The Company: ercol has been producing high quality furniture for nearly 100 years and our passion for innovation in design and manufacturing is still as strong today. ercol continues to manufacture high quality, solid wood products at its state\-of\-the\-art factory in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire as well as sourcing products from a number of companies around the world.
The Role: We currently have an exciting opportunity to join and manage our first UK retail store and help develop the retail and interior design business.
In this key role experience in the furniture sector is desirable, but not essential. However, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of developing sales, team building, coupled with an enthusiasm and desire to succeed.
Role Duration: Permanent (Including weekends)
The Profile: We are looking for a self\-starter, who has strong sales and retail management skills, is target driven and can develop superb relationships with both customers and internal colleagues, to help achieve the Company’s objectives for growth.
Retail Showroom Manager:
- Deliver a luxury retail experience that reflects the brand values and heritage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Develop, coach, and inspire the showroom team to become high\-performing individuals, driving both personal development and overall store success.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with interior designers, property developers, to grow the store’s trade network and generate new business opportunities.
- Ensure all customer orders, deliveries, and after\-sales service issues are managed efficiently.
- Analyse sales reports and KPIs to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Oversee showroom events, promotional activities, and seasonal launches.
- Maintain exceptional product knowledge across all furniture and accessory ranges.
- Ensure pricing, product displays, and point\-of\-sale materials are accurate and up to date.
- Work collaboratively with head office and regional management teams to implement business initiatives.
- Monitor competitor activity and local market trends to support commercial performance.
- Ensure a high standard of showroom ambience, cleanliness, and attention to detail at all times.
- Be responsible for the day\-to\-day operation of the Showroom to the ercol brand standard.
- Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role, with strong leadership and team management.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Commercial awareness and industry knowledge with a results driven mindset.
- Good organisational, administrative and problem\-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
- A confident and calm approach to dealing with customers and staff.
