We are seeking an experienced, high\-energy Retail Supervisor to lead our floor team, drive sales, and ensure the smooth day\-to\-day running of the store. If you are a natural leader with a passion for retail and a knack for keeping things organized, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities
As a Supervisor, you will support the Store Manager in daily operations and lead by example on the shop floor. Your duties will include:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and support Sales Assistants during shifts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and breaks are managed.
- Customer Excellence: Maintain a high standard of customer service across the store, handling any customer queries or complaints professionally.
- Store Standards: Ensure excellent merchandising, full stock availability, and strict adherence to stock rotation (FIFO).
- Cash \& Till Management: Oversee till openings/closings, perform safe drops, investigate cash discrepancies, and ensure secure cash\-handling procedures.
- Compliance \& HACCP: Guarantee full compliance with food safety (HACCP) regulations, especially in the deli/coffee areas, and ensure strict legal compliance regarding age\-restricted sales (Alcohol, Tobacco).
- Keyholder Duties: Opening and closing the store securely, managing alarms, and ensuring a safe working environment for staff and customers.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or senior sales assistant role within Irish retail or grocery (e.g., Centra, Spar, Eurospar, Londis, SuperValu).
- Leadership Skills: A natural ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and keep morale high during busy peak hours.
- Operational Knowledge: Solid understanding of retail operations, cash handling, and HACCP food safety standards.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (fluent English is required).
- Flexibility: Fully flexible to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings (e.g., 6:00 AM starts), late finishes, and weekends.
