Shop Manager

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of a very busy forecourt in the West Limerick region. You will be the one to ensure smooth running of operations to maximize sales and minimize costs.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a store manager and knowledge of diverse business subjects such as sales, marketing etc. As an effective retail manager, you will achieve all targets through effective management of people and operations.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as retail manager in a very busy forecourt with key focus on a strong food offering.


• Knowledge of retail management best practices


• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities


• Excellent organizing and leadership skills


• Commercial awareness


• Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles


• Excellent knowledge of EPOS including all back\-office requirements.


• Approachable and a role model who leads by example and encourages teamwork and fosters a positive attitude and atmosphere in the workplace


• Ability to develop and promote good communication between employees.


• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.

• Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel


• Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance


• Prepare and control the store’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency including staff rosters etc.


• Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget


• Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store’s reputation


• Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise


• Plan and oversee in\-store promotional events or display.


• Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store


• Analyze sales and complete the weekly KPI reports in a timely manner.


• Ensure the store fulfils all legal health and safety guidelines

Job Type: Full\-time

Pay: From €50,000\.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abbeyfeale, County Limerick: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
