Retail Assistant (Term Time Only)

CF10 Retail Ltd operates retail and catering facilities within college settings across South Wales. We are currently recruiting for a Retail Assistant (Term Time Only) to join our Simply Fresh store.

This role is for 20 hours per week and offers an excellent opportunity for someone with retail or customer service experience who enjoys working in a busy and customer\-focused environment.

Hours of Work

• Monday: 11:00am \- 3:00pm


• Tuesday to Friday: 10:00am \- 2:00pm

The store operates between 7:00am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday. Additional overtime may be available from time to time, although this cannot be guaranteed.

Responsible To

Retail Manager

Main Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Retail Manager to deliver an excellent store experience.


• Create a positive customer journey through outstanding service and product knowledge.


• Provide excellent customer service to all customers and visitors.


• Operate tills and handle cash accurately.


• Carry out daily cleaning duties in both front and back of house areas in accordance with company procedures.


• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene to support a 5\-star Food Hygiene Rating.


• Monitor stock levels and place orders with approved suppliers.


• Ensure the store is fully stocked, faced up and presented to a high standard at all times.


• Follow company policies and procedures relating to food safety, health and safety, and customer service.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous retail or customer service experience.


• A food safety qualification is desirable but not essential.


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.


• Reliable, punctual and organised with good timekeeping.


• Able to work proactively and use initiative.

As this role is based within a college environment, successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check and provide two satisfactory references.
