Global Liner Agencies is a group of shipping agency companies with head office in Belgium and offices in the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Poland, Turkiye, and South Africa.

In Belgium our focus is on principals with business in the Asia Pacific region and working as an NVOCC to that region.

Function

Your role as an all\-round shipping coordinator

We are looking for a shipping expert who can manage international transports from quoting to invoicing. It is a broad role so a solid shipping experience is required to succeed.

Your primary responsibilities:

• Managing customer files and proactive communication to customers, shipping companies, principals, agents, warehouse and customs.


• Handling complex shipments as an NVOCC.


• Updating and checking transport documentation and coordinating export shipments.


• Preparation of quotations, tariff calculations and negotiations with suppliers, including invoice control and invoicing.

Who you are

• You have a Bachelor's degree (preferably in shipping or logistics management) or you are at an equivalent level through experience.


• You have a solid knowledge of shipping terminology and Incoterms.


• You can work well in a team and you are customer\-oriented, organizationally strong, and stress\-resistant.


• You have strong communication skills and a good knowledge of English.


• You have a hands\-on approach and can work independently.


• You have a general knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs.


• You have a passion for your work and want a career in shipping.
