Role Overview

We are seeking a detail\-oriented Shipping Administrator to support the efficient and compliant movement of precision\-engineered components and systems worldwide. The role involves preparing export documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and coordinating closely with production, customers, and logistics partners to ensure on\-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments via air, sea, and road freight, ensuring timely delivery of engineered products

  • Prepare and verify export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and Certificates of Origin

  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, tariffs, and export control requirements

  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth customs clearance

  • Track shipments end\-to\-end, providing proactive updates to customers and internal stakeholders

  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or documentation issues efficiently

  • Maintain accurate, audit\-ready records in line with company and regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with production and sales teams to align shipping schedules with manufacturing output

  • Support general administrative and logistics\-related tasks as required
Skills \& Experience Required
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, HS Codes, and international shipping/customs procedures

  • Experience coordinating export shipments within a manufacturing or engineering environment

  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook)

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with customers and logistics partners

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple shipments in a fast\-paced environment
Desirable (Not Essential)
  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Familiarity with shipping high\-value or technical equipment

  • Understanding of compliance requirements for engineered goods or industrial products

Working Hours

  • Part\-time hours or potential for full\-time for the right candidate
Pay: £24,420\.00\-£31,500\.00 per year
