Shift Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to food safety and quality. This role requires effective team management and the ability to ensure that all aspects of food preparation and service meet our high standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow in the kitchen and dining areas.


• Manage food preparation and cooking processes while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.


• Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service and maintain a positive work environment.


• Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen and restaurant.


• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction.


• Assist in menu planning and development, contributing culinary expertise to enhance offerings.


• Collaborate with other managers to implement strategies for improving operational efficiency.

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.


• Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and food production.


• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.


• Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.


• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential; hotel or barista experience is an advantage.


• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.


• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong customer service orientation.
