ISR/IPS Engineer for Signalling
The Integrated Service Readiness (ISR) / Integrated product Support (IPS) Engineer ensures that railway systems are fully prepared for safe, reliable, and maintainable operation throughout their lifecycle. The role focuses on Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities and includes specific competencies in railway signalling systems, allowing effective interface with signalling engineering, maintenance, and operational teams.
This position requires a professional with proven experience in ISR/ILS activities and a solid background in signalling, particularly in ETCS\-based systems and onboard signalling components such as the EVC.

- Key Responsibilities
- ISR / ILS Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and manage ISR deliverables across the projects
- Prepare and maintain ISR documentation, including:
- + Maintenance Plans
+ Spare Parts Lists (SPARE)
+ LSA/LSAR data
+ Maintenance Manuals and User Manuals
+ Troubleshooting Guide
- Ensure maintainability, availability, reliability, and safety (RAMS) requirements are properly addressed from an ISR perspective.
- Coordinate with engineering, commissioning, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure service readiness.
- Contribute to risk analysis related to service readiness and operational deployment.
- Signalling Responsibilities
- Support ISR activities related to signalling systems, including onboard and wayside signalling subsystems.
- Understand basic signalling principles and operating logic.
- Interface effectively with signalling engineering teams during design, validation, and commissioning phases.
- Assess maintenance concepts and service strategies for signalling equipment.
- Contribute to troubleshooting and service readiness assessments related to signalling systems.
- Required Technical Competencies
- Signalling Knowledge
- Solid understanding of signalling principles and basic operating concepts.
- Knowledge of ETCS architecture and functionality.
- Specific experience or knowledge of the European Vital Computer (EVC) and onboard signalling subsystems.
- Understanding of the main components of a railway signalling system (onboard, wayside, interfaces).
- Ability to read and interpret:
- + Electrical schematics
+ Signalling system documentation
- ISR / IPS Skills
- Strong knowledge of Integrated Service Readiness and Integrated Product Support methodologies.
- Experience applying IPS standards and best practices in railway projects.
- Ability to analyze system design from a maintainability and service perspective.
- Familiarity with maintenance concepts for safety\-critical systems.
- Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in ISR / IPS activities applied to railway systems.
- Experience in projects involving railway signalling systems.
- Prior exposure to ETCS\-based signalling projects is highly desirable.
- Education
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Computer science or equivalent).
- Additional training or certification in signalling or IPS is considered an asset.

- Clear technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
