Role Purpose: The Service Technician is responsible for ensuring the timely servicing, calibration and testing of portable combustion and emission analysers, delivering high\-quality products and services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Service, repair, and calibrate the full range of combustion and emission analysers in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
· Prepare, configure, and programme products prior to calibration and testing.
· Produce Calibration Test Reports that accurately document calibration results.
· Undertake basic fault\-finding, diagnosis, and rectification of non\-conforming products in line with the Kane Care process.
· Continuously monitor methods, processes, and procedures to ensure departmental goals relating to efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost savings are achieved.
· Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues across departments where required.
· Be prepared to work overtime and assist other departments during busy periods as required.
· Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Person Specification: Essential
- Proven experience in a similar service, calibration, or electronic testing role.
- ONC in Electronic Testing or an equivalent qualification.
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and engineering drawings.
- Strong fault\-finding and repair skills.
- Competent practical skills in mechanical assembly, soldering, and related electronic assembly techniques.
- Good documentation, literacy, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in PC hardware and software applications used for product setup, configuration, and testing.
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
- Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements relevant to the role.
