Field-Based - UK Travel Required however preference for the North (Manchecster/Yorkshire)

Adele Carr is working with a well-established and growing engineering business specialising in industrial dust, fume and oil mist extraction systems, gas safety systems and educational workshop installations. Due to continued growth within our Industrial Extraction Division, we are looking to recruit an experienced LEV / Service Engineer to join our clients team. The could cover the UK but preference would be for a candidate based in the North to travel to Yorkshire and Manchester regions mainly. Full driving license would be required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with LEV testing experience who enjoys a varied, customer-facing role combining planned maintenance, fault finding, breakdown response and compliance testing across a wide range of industrial environments.
The Role
Reporting to the Installation Manager, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and testing industrial extraction systems throughout the UK. You will work both independently and alongside colleagues to ensure customers receive a professional and responsive service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out LEV testing and inspections in accordance with current regulations
- Planned preventative maintenance of dust, fume and oil mist extraction systems
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Basic electrical fault finding and repairs
- Replacing motors, fans and other extraction system components
- Responding to customer breakdowns and reactive maintenance call-outs
- Completing service reports and documentation accurately and on time
- Building strong working relationships with customers
- Supporting installation projects when required
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining LEV, dust extraction or industrial ventilation systems
- P601 qualification (essential)
- Good mechanical fault-finding skills
- Basic electrical knowledge and competence
- IPAF, PASMA and/or CSCS certification (advantageous)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
