Service Desk Engineer

Our client based in Bracknell is seeking a Service Desk Engineer to join its team based in Bracknell.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused approach, and an interest in technology. Full training will be provided, making the role suitable for both experienced engineers looking for an office-based position and individuals at the start of their technical career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support and fault diagnosis.


• Log, prioritise, and manage incidents and service requests.


• Escalate complex issues to specialist teams where required.


• Coordinate engineers and resources to ensure timely resolution of issues.


• Keep customers and internal stakeholders updated on progress.


• Maintain accurate records and documentation.


• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and customer service skills.


• Good understanding of Windows operating systems.


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in a service desk, helpdesk, or technical support role.


• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and remote support tools.


• Experience coordinating engineers, technicians, or field-based teams.


• Understanding of basic networking principles.
