Service Advisor
Objectives
- Represent the company and premium brand professionally
- Balance customer needs with business goals
- Deliver excellent customer service, remaining calm and reassuring in challenging situations
- Reports to the Service Manager
- Accurately capture customer details and vehicle issues at first contact
- Take bookings and schedule work into the workshop
- Manage workshop capacity effectively
- Raise job cards and ensure all documentation is complete
- Keep customers updated on vehicle progress
- Maintain and update customer records
- Handover completed vehicles and explain repairs clearly
- Monitor repair progress to meet deadlines
- Promote after-sales services (e.g. service contracts)
- Handle customer payments
- Schedule work to maintain consistent workflow
- Provide advice on warranties and service requirements
- Explain legal inspection requirements and arrange vehicle tests (e.g. MOTs)
- Professional and clear customer communication
- Accurate workshop booking and scheduling
- Timely updates on repair progress
- Reliable advice on servicing and maintenance
