A slightly unusual decision (and a rather good one)
On paper, a garage should open on Saturdays. More hours, more cars, more money.

Eight years ago, we stopped.

A 1\-in\-3 Saturday rota doesn’t just cost you a third of your weekends. It hangs over the rest of them too. So we gave them back. You work Monday to Friday, and then you’re off to enjoy yourself.

Who we are
PSC is Gloucestershire’s premier independent specialist for German vehicles. Our customers could go to a main dealer. They come to us because they trust us, and trust turns out to be a better product than a glass showroom and a free espresso machine.

What the job really is
On paper, you book cars in and hand them back. In practice, you’re a translator and a reassurer. Your job is to turn “intermittent fault in the high\-pressure fuel system” into something a customer understands, believes and feels good about approving.

We only recommend work a car genuinely needs, and we explain exactly why. Honest advice sells better than pushy advice.

You’ll be one of two Service Advisors, working alongside our two Workshop Controllers, Estimator and Service Manager.

Day to day you’ll:

• Book in servicing, diagnostic, MOT and repair work, and load the workshop diary


• Welcome customers and handle vehicle check\-in and handover


• Explain technicians’ findings and health checks clearly, and get authorisation for work


• Keep customers updated in person, by phone and by email


• Prepare estimates and invoices


• Build lasting relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers

Is this you?

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Service Advisor or Aftersales Advisor, ideally at a franchised dealer or premium specialist


• Good technical knowledge of engines, drivetrains, electrics and core systems, enough to explain a problem rather than just read it out


• Experience with German marques is a big plus


• Curious about hybrid and electric vehicle technology


• Calm and cheerful when the phone’s ringing, the diary’s full and there’s a customer at the desk


• Organised, detail\-minded and a proper team player
