We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Capability Lead / Execution Lead to join our Change team. This role is located in Manchester, UK.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead and develop a core delivery capability, such as Discovery, User Acceptance Testing or Operational Readiness.
- Set and maintain capability standards, methodologies, tools and ways of working.
- Build team capability through coaching, development planning, knowledge sharing and performance management.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and succession planning within the capability.
- Ensure consistent quality, governance and control adherence across all work delivered by the capability.
- Oversee resource planning and capacity management to ensure the capability is aligned to demand.
- Drive continuous improvement in capability processes, outputs and team effectiveness.
- Act as the senior change lead for a designated product or operations platform group.
- Own end\-to\-end coordination of change support for the assigned platform group across multiple pods or workstreams.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities, demand, risks, dependencies and delivery timelines.
- Ensure work is delivered with clear ownership, accountability, governance and escalation management.
- Monitor execution progress, resolve delivery issues and drive actions to maintain momentum and achieve outcomes.
- Provide integrated oversight across discovery, testing and readiness activities to support successful implementation and business adoption.
- Build strong relationships with business, operations, technology, risk and control stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for change execution across the assigned platform group.
- Provide clear, timely and transparent communication on delivery status, risks, issues and decisions.
- Influence stakeholders to support prioritisation, alignment and effective execution.
- Ensure delivery activity is completed in line with required governance, risk and compliance standards.
- Support completion and quality of all relevant control, readiness and implementation artefacts.
- Escalate delivery, resource or control concerns appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Promote a strong culture of accountability, discipline and operational excellence.
- Lead colleagues through both direct line management and matrix\-based delivery structures.
- Enable effective working across pods, ensuring cross\-capability collaboration and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Clarify roles, responsibilities and decision\-making across capability teams and pod structures.
- To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Strong experience in change delivery, business transformation, operations change, testing, readiness or process improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a functional or capability\-based team structure.
- Experience managing cross\-functional delivery in a matrix organisation.
- Strong understanding of delivery lifecycle disciplines, including requirements, testing, implementation readiness and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to lead both strategic capability development and day\-to\-day execution oversight.
- Strong planning, prioritisation and resource management capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across senior and working\-level audiences.
- Proven ability to identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies in a structured way.
- Experience operating in a controlled environment with strong governance and compliance expectations.
