Salary: £32,500 – £38,000 per year (depending on experience)

GPS Logistics is an independent same\-day and dedicated courier company based opposite Heathrow Airport.
We specialise in time\-critical transport, including airfreight, AOG movements, high\-value shipments, and specialist logistics across the UK and Europe.
Our operation is fast\-paced, high\-pressure, and accuracy\-driven, where decision\-making and attention to detail directly impact service and profitability.
The Role
This is a senior, hands\-on operational role responsible for controlling live same\-day courier operations.
You will not just be planning jobs — you will be running live operations, making real\-time decisions, and taking ownership of jobs from booking through to completion.
You will regularly be managing multiple live jobs simultaneously, requiring strong organisation, accuracy, and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, allocate, and control same\-day and dedicated courier jobs
- Manage live operations using Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Allocate work to drivers and subcontractors
- Monitor jobs and proactively manage delays or issues
- Make real\-time decisions to protect service levels and maximise margin
- Communicate with customers, drivers, and subcontractors via phone, email, and WhatsApp
- Resolve operational challenges quickly and professionally
- Maintain high levels of accuracy across job details and timings
- Minimum 4 years experience in same\-day courier, transport, or freight operations
- Proven experience managing live, time\-critical jobs
- Strong understanding of routing, vehicle types, weights, and dimensions
- Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Confident using Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Calm, organised, and decisive under pressure
- Entry\-level planners
- Candidates without same\-day courier experience

- Candidates who are not comfortable working in a fast\-paced environment
- Must live within 30 minutes of UB7 0EX
- Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points)
- 5\-year checkable work history
- DBS check required
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
We are primarily recruiting for the early shift, although flexibility is required to support the wider team during holidays and sickness.
- Early shift: 6:00am – 7:00am start (primary requirement)
- Additional shifts: 9:00am and 11:00am starts (as required)
