Senior Third Party Claims Handler

A well-established, FCA-regulated general insurance business on the outskirts of Bolton (Egerton) is looking for an experienced Senior Third Party Claims Handler to join its motor claims team. This is a great opportunity for an established claims professional to take on more complex cases, mentor others and progress with fully funded CII qualifications.

You'll handle a portfolio of more complex third-party motor claims end to end, working with insurers, solicitors and third parties to secure fair and timely outcomes.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing a caseload of more complex third-party motor claims from start to finish


• Assessing liability, reserving and negotiating settlements within higher authority limits


• Supporting and mentoring less experienced handlers


• Liaising with insurers, solicitors, brokers and third parties


• Ensuring full compliance with FCA and regulatory standards

A minimum of 2 years' motor or third-party claims experience

• Strong liability assessment and negotiation skills


• Excellent communication and customer service


• Good attention to detail and organisation


• CII qualifications (or a willingness to complete them)

• Salary of GBP28,000 to GBP33,000 depending on experience


• Fully funded CII qualifications and structured career progression
