About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and customer\-focused Mitel Telephone Systems Engineer to join our growing technical team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with strong telecoms and unified communications experience to support, maintain, and deliver Mitel telephone solutions for a diverse range of business customers across the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installations, upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of Mitel telephony platforms, whilst working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Mitel telephone systems.


• Provide remote and onsite support for Mitel business phone solutions.


• Diagnose and resolve telephony, SIP, networking, and connectivity issues.


• Conduct system upgrades, migrations, and software updates.


• Configure SIP trunks, call routing, auto attendants, hunt groups, and call centre features.


• Produce and maintain technical documentation.


• Assist with project delivery and system implementation activities.


• Liaise directly with customers to provide technical advice and support.


• Escalate and manage complex technical issues where required.


• Participate in occasional out\-of\-hours maintenance activities.

• Previous experience supporting and administering Mitel telephone systems.


• Strong understanding of:


• Mitel MiVoice Business


• Mitel MICC / MCX


• MiCollabd


• Mitel Connect


• Mitel IP Handsets


• Call recording


• SIP Trunking


• VoIP technologies


• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including:


• TCP/IP


• VLANs


• QoS


• Routing and Switching


• Experience troubleshooting telephony and network\-related issues.


• Excellent communication and customer service skills.


• Full UK driving licence.

• Mitel accreditation or certifications.


• Experience with Microsoft Teams Phone integration.


• Knowledge of Gamma, BT, Virgin Media Business, or other SIP providers.


• Experience in an MSP or multi\-customer environment.


• Familiarity with hosted telephony and cloud\-based communication platforms.


• Understanding of call recording and contact centre technologies.
