PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To define, implement and provide effective project management and governance of projects, assuring delivery success in line with the company's brand values and principles. This position will provide project management and governance for some of the company’s more complex customer projects, as well as guidance to more junior project management roles.

RESPONSIBILITIES
--------------------

Key Activities

  • Meet with client teams and understand project requirements, coordinate with resources and direct the projects in the right direction, promptly

  • Build and maintain project scope definition, project schedule, costs, resource plan and RAID logs

  • Delegate and allocate responsibilities efficiently to manage projects end to end

  • Monitor and control project delivery, including on the company’s more complex projects

  • Make presentations on project status, and present monthly and annual reports to senior management

  • Own formal communications with customers and stakeholders

  • Enable the delivery team to focus on key tasks and remove impediments to the fulfilment of those tasks

  • Proactively identify and deploy the necessary mitigation strategies for risks

  • Ensure the project team is using their time as efficiently as possible

  • Ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases

  • Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development and systems integration

  • Ensure standard operating procedures and project guidelines are in place

  • Provide an efficient working atmosphere to project teams and ensure objectives are met within the stipulated time

  • Perform a leadership role, helping to drive forward project delivery

  • Communicate technical solutions to both client and Boxfusion Consulting staff in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in written form

  • Interface with key client staff on a day\-to\-day basis

  • Potentially act as the most senior Boxfusion Consulting consultant on a client site, and manage the client relationship day\-to\-day

  • Take lessons learned and past experiences from projects managed for self\-improvement and input to drive innovation and improvements internally

  • Proactively propose and suggest improvements to the company’s project management approach, processes and templates

  • Manage hours so that delivery timelines for the client are achieved and in accordance with the quality standards of Boxfusion Consulting

  • Where appropriate, line management of more junior resources, in line with the Company’s line management framework and guidance.

  • Helping to ensure information security for us and our customers
Occasional Activities
  • Training on wider project management and delivery methodologies relevant to the role

  • Engaging with Oracle as part of understanding more about the products in which we specialise and their roadmaps

  • Support pre\-sales activities by performing tasks such as project estimates, high\-level plans and delivering demonstrations.

  • Training on technologies, and implementation of those technologies at clients or Boxfusion Consulting

  • Training new Boxfusion Consulting personnel, or end\-customer personnel

  • Creation of content and collateral to support Marketing activities such as entries for the company blog

  • Supporting day\-to\-day operational activities of Boxfusion Consulting

  • Any other duties requested by management commensurate with the grading of the post.

  • Manage, participate in and propose internal initiatives to drive evolutions within the company

  • Reviewing, evaluating and developing their own contribution to Boxfusion Consulting

  • Ensuring compliance with quality systems

  • Providing support for colleagues

  • Carrying out duties placed on employees in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act

  • Providing feedback to line managers, relating to consultants’ performance on the projects they manage
PERSON SPECIFICATION
------------------------

Knowledge \& Qualifications

  • Minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent)

  • Project Management qualification

  • Experience of Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches

  • Experience of using MS Project (highly desirable)

  • Experience of project managing a CRM or SaaS CRM software delivery
Skills
  • Proven track record of delivering projects to quality, to budget and on time

  • Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients

  • Proven ability to partner with various stakeholders to define processes and procedures

  • Proven ability to manage change and effectively pass on the information to concerned teams to ensure smoother execution

  • Experience creating new processes and streamlining/improving existing processes

  • Exhibit the flexibility necessary to effectively manage change and thrive in an evolving organisation

  • Ability to wear several different hats to proficiently handle teams, estimate project budgets, schedule project timelines and arrange for resources

  • Help in solving technical problems as and when needed

  • Understand different programming languages and ability to solve problems in coding, testing and deployment

  • Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality and excellence

  • Review the work of the development team

  • Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of team members and suitably make changes if required

  • Resource management skills and ability to handle complex/sensitive issues

  • Encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation and appreciate team contribution

  • Ability to match project tasks with opportunities for development so that employee potential is utilised to the maximum
