Job Summary
---------------

• Own multi\-cluster, multi\-region Kafka environments on Kubernetes, primarily using Strimzi.


• Drive platform upgrades, security, resilience, disaster recovery, scaling, performance, and cost efficiency.


• Automate infrastructure and delivery with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform, and KEDA.


• Build observability and proactive alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Fluent Bit, or OpenTelemetry.


• Provide Tier 3 support, lead root\-cause analysis, and advise Java/Spring Boot teams on Kafka client design and configuration.

Create secure self\-service tooling for topics, schemas, and credentials, and collaborate with Security, Architecture, and development teams

Key Responsibilities
------------------------

• Work on business\-critical platform capabilities that support multiple ICA Gruppen businesses and development teams.


• Take meaningful ownership in a “you build it, you run it” environment with a strong focus on reliability, automation, and continuous improvement.


• Solve complex engineering challenges involving high availability, security, scalability, observability, and cloud\-native operations.


• Shape reusable platform services and self\-service experiences that help product teams deliver securely and efficiently at scale.

Collaborate across engineering, security, and architecture in a large enterprise integration environment

Skill Requirements
----------------------

• Approximately 4–6 years of hands\-on experience with Apache Kafka, Strimzi or equivalent, Kafka Connect, KRaft, Java, and Spring Boot.


• Strong platform\-level expertise in Kafka clusters, performance, security, schema governance, and operational troubleshooting.


• Practical experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Linux, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Helm, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.


• Working knowledge of observability tooling such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Fluent Bit, or OpenTelemetry.


• Strong problem\-solving skills, a humble and collaborative approach, and comfort with end\-to\-end operational ownership.


• Experience with API management, public cloud platforms, cost optimization, or large\-enterprise integration is beneficial.

Fluent English; Swedish is an advantage
