Senior Systems Engineer Linux (f/m/d)
Your tasks
We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer \- Linux \& Infrastructure to strengthen our IT and infrastructure team. The ideal candidate is a hands\-on engineer with deep expertise in Linux administration, infrastructure automation, and cloud technologies. You will play a key role in ensuring the stable, secure, and scalable operation of our platform and IT services.
- Ensure the smooth and reliable operation of the Drooms platform and supporting infrastructure
- Manage and optimize Linux\-based systems across on\-premise and cloud environments
- Operate and further develop infrastructure automation systems (e.g., Puppet, Ansible)
- Support infrastructure as code initiatives using configuration management and automation tools
- Monitor and maintain system reliability, performance, and security
- Manage networking components and ensure connectivity and availability
- Support DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows (e.g. GitLab or similar)
- Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to improve infrastructure and support product development
- Maintain clear and up\-to\-date system documentation, SOPs, and architectural diagrams
- 7\+ years of experience in Linux systems administration
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, etc.)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
- Familiarity with networking administration and troubleshooting
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of data systems and tools is a plus
- Strong problem\-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence
- Excellent German and English language skills are required for this position
