Senior System Engineer – Embedded Defense Systems

Our client, a company operating in the defense sector, is looking for a Senior System Engineer to help create and structure a Systems Engineering function dedicated to complex embedded products.
This role combines process definition, requirements management, system architecture and technical leadership in a demanding engineering environment.
Your responsibilities
Define and implement Systems Engineering processes and methodologies.
Capture, analyze and structure stakeholder and system requirements.
Coordinate system architecture activities across multidisciplinary teams.
Lead requirement reviews and technical alignment sessions.
Ensure end\-to\-end traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
Support the implementation of consistent engineering standards, tools and documentation.
Contribute to the development and maturity of the Systems Engineering department.
Profile / Requirements
--------------------------
Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
At least 8 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
Strong expertise in requirements definition, management and traceability.
Experience with DOORS, Polarion or an equivalent requirements management tool.
Good knowledge of SysML and/or UML.
Proven ability to work on complex, multidisciplinary systems.
Strong coordination, communication and technical leadership skills.
Experience in defense, aerospace, railway or another safety\-critical industry is highly valued.
Mandatory requirements
Fluent French.
On\-site presence at least four days per week.
