The Role:
Are you an experienced Lead Carer or Senior Support Worker who is tired of being undervalued? We are recruiting elite Senior Support Workers / Team Leaders to take charge of shifts, manage care teams, and oversee complex packages for our premier clients across the region.
You will step into services—frequently specializing in Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health—to provide operational stability, mentor junior staff, manage medications, and ensure absolute CQC compliance on the floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shift Leadership: Take accountability for the smooth running of shifts, delegating tasks effectively to junior support staff.
- Complex Case Management: Oversee the implementation of person-centred care plans and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies.
- Medication Administration: Safely manage, audit, and administer medications in strict accordance with local policies and CQC guidelines.
- Crisis De-escalation: Act as the lead point of contact for managing challenging behaviours, ensuring safety and emotional regulation.
- Reporting & Auditing: Complete high-quality shift logs, incident reports, and risk assessments to present to Registered Managers.
- Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent leadership experience) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 12–24 months of proven experience in a UK senior care or team leader role, ideally dealing with complex behaviour or learning disabilities.
- Compliance: An active Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service) and a solid understanding of CQC standards.
- Skills: Strong medication administration experience and verifiable training in physical intervention or advanced de-escalation (e.g., PMVA, MAPA, MAYBO) is a massive advantage.
- Logistics: Excellent command of English, reliable time-management, and the flexibility to cover varied shift patterns. A UK Driving License with access to a vehicle is highly preferred.
