Senior Support Worker

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our specialist home in Tyldesley, Manchester to provide high\-quality care and life\-enriching opportunities to the people we support.
Job Role
Wareing, is one of our new purpose built, homely, spacious and specialist homes in Tyldesley, Manchester, supporting 4 adults with autism and learning disabilities to be independent and achieve their own individual outcomes.
As part of a support team you will be responsible for assisting them in their transition into their new home. You will get to know each of the people that we support and find out their interests and likeable activities, to create fulfilment of each day. Each day will be completely different, but you will be there to guide them through all of life's milestones and challenges.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be leading the team whilst you are on shift, acting as a role model to deliver the highest standards of care. You will develop strong relationships with the team and the people we support to ensure the best possible outcomes.

We’re looking for resilient, determined and adaptable Senior Support Workers who can lead by example, support the team, and confidently guide individuals through change. Someone with strong communication skills, a positive approach and the ability to build trust and reassurance will excel. Maintaining high standards, supporting colleagues and ensuring each person feels safe, understood and valued are central to this role.

Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and support the team during each shift, promoting a positive culture and acting as a professional role model.
- Coordinate daily operations, including plans, activities, appointments and budgets, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the shift.
- Oversee and complete all required documentation, digital logs and audits, reviewing and signing off records completed by the team.
- Maintain safety and compliance by escalating health and safety concerns, monitoring medication procedures and ensuring policies are followed.
- Ensure accurate reporting and follow\-up of incidents, behaviour logs, safeguarding concerns and post\-incident debriefs.
- Act as a senior member of the team, advocating for and supporting the continuous development of the home, role modelling best practice in care.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Level 2 Adult Care Worker Qualification or equivalent is desirable (Adult’s only)
- Previous experience in a care role in a senior/team leader/supervisory capacity
- Be committed to continuous improvement of the home and the team
- A passion for person\-centred care
- Resilient and tenacious
- Have a positive and proactive mindset
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Salary \& Benefits
- £28,448\.89 \- £32,163\.86 (dependent on qualifications and experience and 1 sleep\-in per week)
