Senior Support Worker
At Bright Futures, we champion the potential of every person with autism and a learning disability, believing wholeheartedly in their ability to thrive and lead the most fulfilling lives. We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team in Halton, Liverpool.
Our Kildare home is a three\-bedroom adults' home in Hale Village, Halton, with easy access to local parks, green spaces and village amenities.
The people who live at Kildare each have their own unique personalities, interests and ways of communicating. They enjoy spending time in the garden, going on drives around the local area, trains, bowling and visiting the arcade. One person living at Kildare has cerebral palsy and requires consistent support. Our experienced team provides personalised, person\-centred support that promotes independence, choice and wellbeing, ensuring everyone can take part in the activities they enjoy and live life in the way that suits them best.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be leading the team whilst you are on shift, acting as a role model to deliver the highest standards of care. You will develop strong relationships with the team and the people we support to ensure the best possible outcomes.
You will get to know each individual, find out their interests, and support them to achieve the small and big steps in reaching their goals and living the life they choose. Each day will be completely different, but you will be there to guide them through all of life's milestones and challenges.
What we’re looking for
- Level 2 Adult Care Worker Qualification or equivalent is desirable.
- Previous experience in a care role in a senior/team leader/supervisory capacity.
- Be committed to continuous improvement of the home and the team.
- A passion for person\-centred care.
- Have a positive and proactive mindset.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence is preferred.
