Senior Specialist, Finance Systems

When you join SA, you play a part in giving every student who walks through our doors a fair shot at reaching his or her potential.</p></div><p>We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Systems Specialist to support our Finance Systems team with systems administration, budget management & analysis, and project oversight. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation and business acumen, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the reliability of our Finance systems, optimizing operational spending, and driving the successful delivery of technology initiatives across the organization.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Finance Systems Administration</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our <strong>Finance systems</strong>, infrastructure, and business applications (tools <strong>NetSuite, Coupa, Boomi, </strong>and <strong>related integrations</strong>). </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Manage user access, permissions, onboarding/offboarding, and license management across platforms.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and disruption.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.</p>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p>Budget Management & Analysis</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Support the development, tracking, and reconciliation of IT capital (CapEx) and operating (OpEx) budgets.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Partner with Finance and FP&A teams to ensure accurate cost forecasting, variance analysis, and budget reporting.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Analyze spending trends and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize resource allocation.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Assist in the preparation of budget proposals, business cases, and financial presentations for IT leadership review.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Monitor vendor contracts, renewals, and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.</p>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p>Project Management</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Lead and support the planning, execution, and delivery of projects from initiation through completion.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, and status reports.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and team members to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Facilitate project meetings, document action items, and communicate progress to leadership and relevant departments.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Apply project management best practices and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) as appropriate to each initiative</p>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Must have experience as a systems admin for NetSuite</strong></li>
<li>
<p>8+ years of progressive experience in finance systems administration, IT operations, or a related role.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Demonstrated experience supporting IT budgets, financial reporting, and analysis.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proven track record of managing technology projects across multiple teams and stakeholders.</p>
</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Master’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience working in a nonprofit, education, or multi-entity organizational environment.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management. </p>
</li>
</ul>
