Senior Software Engineer - Clearing

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain critical clearing and post-trade processing systems that support large-scale financial operations.


• Own projects throughout their full lifecycle, from ideation and technical design to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.


• Build new services and integrations that enable innovative financial products and unlock additional business opportunities.


• Enhance existing infrastructure and backend systems to improve scalability, reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.


• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions, align priorities, and deliver business-critical initiatives.


• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to engineering best practices across distributed systems and platform development.


• Support production environments through on-call rotations, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain system stability and performance.


• Contribute to the long-term evolution of systems while balancing technical excellence with practical business needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining reliable distributed systems in production environments.


• Strong proficiency in Go, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.


• Solid understanding of software architecture, databases, networking, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies.


• Proven ability to lead technical projects independently, navigate ambiguity, and deliver high-quality solutions from concept to completion.


• Experience designing and developing scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.


• Interest in financial markets and a commitment to building secure, reliable systems that handle sensitive financial transactions.


• Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate effectively, provide constructive feedback, and work successfully within distributed teams.


• Experience working in startup or fast-growing technology environments is highly valued.


• Familiarity with securities clearing, settlement, securities finance, or broader fintech domains is a plus.


• Additional experience with technologies such as gRPC, Protobuf, Temporal, Grafana, Kafka, Redpanda, Helm, or Docker is advantageous.
