Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of high\-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions in accordance with best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and implement new features or enhancements. Monitor and track the progress of project tasks and deliverables

  • Monitor the development process to ensure agreed quality standards are met

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, conducting code reviews, providing technical leadership, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Participate in architectural discussions and decisions, contributing innovative ideas and solutions to complex technical challenges.

  • Utilise Agile tools to track and manage project progress

  • Provide regular progress updates to the head of department

  • Identify and address any impediments that impact team performance

  • Produce and analyse project metrics to identify areas for improvement and report to the team leader

  • Capture and record requirements, and manage requirements documentation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any STEM subjects

  • Proven experience as a Software Developer/Engineer with the latest programming language skills

  • Previous experience in IT Project Management or equivalent role/s

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with DevOps practices.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities
