Senior Software Developer

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of high\-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions in accordance with best practices.
- Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and implement new features or enhancements. Monitor and track the progress of project tasks and deliverables
- Monitor the development process to ensure agreed quality standards are met
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, conducting code reviews, providing technical leadership, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in architectural discussions and decisions, contributing innovative ideas and solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Utilise Agile tools to track and manage project progress
- Provide regular progress updates to the head of department
- Identify and address any impediments that impact team performance
- Produce and analyse project metrics to identify areas for improvement and report to the team leader
- Capture and record requirements, and manage requirements documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any STEM subjects
- Proven experience as a Software Developer/Engineer with the latest programming language skills
- Previous experience in IT Project Management or equivalent role/s
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with DevOps practices.

Pay: £50,000\.00\-£70,000\.00 per year
