Senior Software Developer (Go) - US Instant Payments

Accountabilities:

• Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of distributed systems supporting real-time US payment schemes such as FedNow and RTP.• Build and enhance cloud-native microservices on a multi-cloud platform, ensuring scalability, resilience, and high performance in production environments.• Participate in system operations, including monitoring, incident response, and on-call rotations to maintain service reliability.• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to define technical solutions and deliver features end-to-end.• Improve infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps practices, including automation, containerization, and test-driven development.• Support production readiness activities as products move toward customer launch, ensuring robustness and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software engineering with production-level development in Go (or a strong willingness to specialize in Go).• Solid background in designing and building distributed systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven systems.• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.• Familiarity with testing practices such as TDD/BDD and strong appreciation for clean code and engineering best practices.• Ability to take ownership of projects end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, and production support.• Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset and comfort working in distributed, remote-first teams.• Experience with observability tools, infrastructure as code, or payment systems is a plus.
