We're looking for a Software Engineer (Scala) who can start on short notice on a high\-impact modernization project.

What you'll be doing

✅ Translate product/architecture requirements into clear technical specs and implementation plans

✅ Design and implement provider\-agnostic JVM libraries (Scala) for uploads \& URL generation

✅ Migrate services onto the new abstraction layer with backward compatibility and zero user impact

✅ Ship robust, well\-tested code that follows industry best practices and existing architecture patterns

✅ Contribute to architecture reviews, code reviews, and long\-term media platform decisions

This is you

✅ 6\+ years building and operating large\-scale distributed systems

✅ Strong JVM background, Scala highly preferred

✅ Solid grasp of microservices \& event\-driven design and inter\-service communication

✅ Comfortable running services in AWS or GCP with production SLAs

✅ DevOps mindset: CI/CD, deployment automation, IaC familiarity
