Garda's primary offices are located in Wayzata, New York City, West Palm Beach, Geneva, Zug, Copenhagen, Singapore, and Scottsdale. </p></div><p>Garda’s Risk Management team is looking for a <strong>Senior Risk Manager </strong>with a macro or rates background to join our team in New York or Geneva. The role’s primary responsibility will be identifying, measuring and monitoring risk for a growing portfolio management team.</p>
<p><strong><u>Position Responsibilities</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Helping design and develop risk frameworks, processes, scenario/stress analyses, and metrics for risk managing portfolios with a focus on macro strategies</li>
<li>Conducting deep dive analysis on the relevant PM portfolios. Refine the process of performance assessment, with a keen focus on macro/thematic drivers and crowding analysis</li>
<li>Building analytics, dashboards, and other tools to monitor risk and sharing with the Risk Management team and/or PMs</li>
<li>Monitoring and analyzing risk exposures on both a daily and longer-term basis</li>
<li>Working independently on complex and business-critical risk management projects</li>
<li>Developing and applying expertise in non-macro trading strategies and market characteristics</li>
<li>Communicating key risk factors to the broader Risk Management team</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Qualifications & Desired Skills</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in a relevant role at a top tier bank or hedge fund</li>
<li>Master’s degree preferred in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with strong academic performance</li>
<li>Deep understanding of macro trading strategies and risk factors</li>
<li>Understanding of when and how to design and apply different risk metrics, such as market sensitivity, scenario analyses, and volatility/expected loss.</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, time sensitive team environment</li>
<li>Detail-oriented nature with strong verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to work independently</li>
