We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Senior Residential worker to support the delivery of high\-quality, trauma\-informed residential childcare. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will provide leadership, supervision and support to staff, ensuring children and young people receive safe, nurturing and trauma responsive care.

About the Role

You will:

  • Support the day\-to\-day operation of the residential services.

  • Lead and supervise staff using reflective and strengths\-based approaches.

  • Model trauma\-informed, attachment\-based and relationship\-focused practice.

  • Ensure care plans and support are centred on the needs, rights and aspirations of young people.

  • Work with partners, families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Support staff development, induction and continuous learning.

  • Ensure safeguarding, Care Inspectorate and SSSC standards are met.

  • Provide management cover when required.

  • Work across shift pattern to support the needs of the service.
About You

You will have:

  • Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and adversity.

  • A strong understanding of trauma\-informed and attachment\-based practice.

  • Experience supporting and motivating teams.

  • Committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.

  • Excellent communication and relationship\-building skills.

  • A commitment to children's rights, wellbeing and positive outcomes.

  • SSSC registration (or eligibility for registration).

  • A relevant SSSC\-recognised qualification, or be working towards one.

  • A full driving licence.
