Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home

Location: Hednesford, Cannock, WS12 4DL
Pay: £16 per hour plus £65 per sleep\-in

Amber Complex Care Ltd is recruiting an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker for a children’s home in Hednesford.

Applicants must hold a Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Children and Young People (CYP). This is an essential requirement for the role.

You will support children and young people with their daily lives while helping to lead shifts and guide the staff team. We are looking for someone who is calm, reliable and confident building positive relationships and maintaining clear, consistent boundaries.

The role will include:

• Leading shifts and supporting colleagues with their day\-to\-day responsibilities.


• Providing practical and emotional support to children and young people.


• Supporting daily routines, education, appointments and activities.


• Following individual care plans and risk assessments.


• Recognising and reporting safeguarding concerns.


• Keeping accurate records and providing clear handovers.


• Working with the home’s management team, families and other professionals.

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience working in a children’s residential home.


• Experience leading shifts or supporting and guiding colleagues.


• A sound understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.


• Good communication and record\-keeping skills.


• A calm, consistent approach when supporting young people through difficult situations.
