Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to join our growing Reliability \& Systems Engineering team, supporting high\-profile projects within the UK nuclear sector.
Initially, the role will focus on strategic nuclear programmes, working as part of a dedicated PDSVISION team supporting clients throughout the concept, design and delivery lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering reliability engineering activities, influencing design decisions and helping customers achieve operational, safety and performance objectives.

We welcome applications from candidates already working within the nuclear sector, as well as those with reliability engineering experience in industries such as defence, aerospace, rail, energy, automotive or industrial manufacturing who are seeking to expand into nuclear applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver reliability engineering analyses and studies for complex engineering systems.
- Lead and contribute to reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) activities across the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate workshops with customers and stakeholders to develop reliability strategies and engineering recommendations.
- Support the development of reliability requirements and associated verification activities.
- Produce high\-quality technical reports and customer\-facing deliverables.
- Manage work packages and project activities to ensure delivery to agreed quality, schedule and budget.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including systems, safety, asset management and design specialists.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of PDSVISION's reliability capability.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Asset Management or a closely related discipline.
- Practical experience applying reliability engineering methodologies including:
+ Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
+ Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS)
+ Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD)
+ Reliability prediction and MTBF calculations
+ Reliability\-Centred Maintenance (RCM)
Knowledge \& Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience engaging and influencing customers and project stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high\-quality outputs within project timescales.
- Systems thinking mindset, with the ability to understand complex interactions between technical, operational and organisational factors.
- Proactive, collaborative and adaptable approach to teamwork and customer engagement.
- Experience within the nuclear, defence, aerospace, rail or energy sectors.
- Use of commercial reliability software and engineering analysis tools.
- Development of technical proposals and consultancy estimates.
- Application of relevant industry standards, regulations and best practice.
- Life Data Analysis (Weibull Analysis).
- Design of Experiments (DoE).
- Availability, Maintainability and Asset Management analysis.
- Functional Safety and/or Cyber Security engineering experience.
- Project leadership or team management experience.
- Professional registration (IEng or CEng) or working towards registration.
Due to the nature of the projects supported, candidates must be British Nationals and be capable of obtaining the necessary UK security clearances.

This role supports a hybrid working model. PDSVISION UK has offices in Cambridge and Manchester, with flexibility to work remotely where business needs permit.
Due to customer requirements, the successful candidate will be expected to spend a minimum of two days per week on\-site in Warrington or another agreed customer location.
