Overview
This role sits within our Reinsurance Treaty team, supporting clients across the Nordic region. You can be based in Copenhagen, Oslo, or Stockholm.
You’ll work on Property and Casualty business while having the scope to develop opportunities in other areas such as cyber, credit, surety, or engineering. If you bring experience in life, MGAs, or specialist lines and see potential to build business, there’s space to grow this within the role.
This is a producing role where you’ll combine relationship management with new business development. You’ll manage selected client accounts while actively building a pipeline across the Nordic market. You’ll also collaborate with colleagues across Europe to deliver tailored reinsurance solutions.
How you'll make an impact
In this role, you’ll:* Manage and develop a portfolio of reinsurance clients across the Nordic region.
- Build new business by identifying and developing opportunities with insurers and reinsurers.
- Structure and place reinsurance programmes across Property and Casualty lines.
- Present and market complex risks to carriers on behalf of clients.
- Analyse client exposures and translate them into clear reinsurance strategies.
- Identify suitable markets, negotiate terms, and prepare recommendations for clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with reinsurers, insurers, and brokers across the region.
- Contribute directly to revenue through originating and closing new opportunities.
- Work closely with colleagues across locations in a collaborative, international setup.
- Manage multiple placements and client requirements in parallel.
Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:* Experience in reinsurance with direct client interaction, either from a broker or carrier environment.
- Experience developing business, building client relationships, or contributing to revenue growth.
- Exposure to Property and Casualty reinsurance, with the ability to support additional lines where relevant.
- Knowledge of the Nordic insurance or reinsurance market.
- The ability to assess client needs and translate them into practical risk transfer solutions.
- Experience working with reinsurers and negotiating placement terms.
- Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language.
- The ability to explain technical topics clearly to different audiences.
- A degree in mathematics, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field.
