Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior RF Test Engineer to join our engineering team and lead validation and testing of complex radio\-electronic systems.

The role combines deep RF engineering expertise with hands\-on testing, measurement, and test automation across both hardware and software components.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and validation of hardware and software components of RF systems


• Develop and improve test methodologies and strategies


• Create and maintain test documentation (test cases, plans, strategies, reports)


• Plan and conduct laboratory and field testing, including measurements and experiments


• Select, configure, and optimize RF measurement equipment for specific test scenarios.


• Develop automated tests using Python for:


• test execution


• interaction with measurement equipment


• protocol validation


• Analyze test results, identify issues, and drive improvements


• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and influence design decisions

• Strong knowledge of RF engineering, including antenna systems and low\-noise amplifiers (LNAs).


• Understanding of superheterodyne receivers and their key characteristics


• Understanding of direction\-finding and radar systems (types, parameters, principles)


• Solid knowledge of signal processing and RF communications, including modulation schemes, spectrum analysis, frequency\-hopping (FHSS) systems, and operation across common wireless frequency bands (GSM, GPS, FM, and others).


• Understanding of SDR systems (hardware and software)


• Proficient in the use of RF test and measurement equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes for signal characterization, troubleshooting, and performance validation.


• Strong understanding of testing methodologies


• Experience with test automation (any programming language)


• Confident user of Windows and/or Linux


• English level B2\+ (Upper\-Intermediate or higher)

• Experience with Python for data analysis (pandas, matplotlib), parallel processing (multiprocessing), and hardware integration and protocol testing.


• Experience testing embedded systems


• Experience with Jira, Confluence


• Personal engineering or technical projects

• Work on complex RF engineering systems
