About the Role \& Team

As a key member of the Commercial South team and reporting into the Commercial Manager, your primary responsibility will be commercial lead on a project located in Bermondsey called Biscuit Factory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing tenders and detailed scopes of works for project.


• Procurement of all contractor trade packages.


• Managing contractor accounts to include raising contractor payments, reviewing and assessing variation claims and preparing and settling final accounts.


• Reviewing drawing changes.


• Reviewing and approving Site Instructions \& CCF’s where appropriate.


• Producing valuation reports to advise of any cost movements and reporting to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.


• Implementation of commercial function in line with the Commercial Policies \& Procedures Manual.


• Attend design team meetings.


• Carry out detailed package review meetings \& drive value engineering opportunities of design \& scope information.


• Prepare all contract documentation and ensure accuracy.


• Financial accountability for the project budget.


• Partnership \& co\-operation with the Project Team for operational and financial delivery.


• Management of and delegation of work to Junior Members of Site Commercial Team where applicable.

Key Skills \& Experience:

• Capable of working independently with minimum supervision and as part of the wider project team.


• Excellent communication skills to be able to communicate daily with the relevant members of the Technical, Sales, Construction, Buying and Finance teams.


• Very good commercial acumen.


• Good Interpersonal skills.


• Very good negotiation skills.


• Good construction knowledge.
