Senior Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A Birmingham-based construction consultancy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead residential projects across the Midlands. This Senior Project Manager opportunity is ideal for someone who can step straight into project delivery and manage schemes with confidence from day one.

The successful Senior Project Manager will work across major residential developments, including housing association and build to rent projects ranging from 150 to 400 units. This Senior Project Manager role will involve both pre-contract and post-contract work, with the Senior Project Manager taking ownership of client relationships, project teams and successful delivery.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience as a Project Manager to be considered for this role.

The Senior Project Manager's role The Senior Project Manager will lead residential projects from inception through to completion, ensuring schemes are delivered to programme, budget and quality expectations.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading housing association and build to rent projects


• Managing residential schemes from 150 to 400 units


• Delivering both pre-contract and post-contract project stages


• Acting as the main client contact


• Coordinating consultants, contractors and stakeholders


• Managing project programmes, risk and reporting


• Undertaking Employer's Agent and Contract Administration duties


• Chairing meetings and driving project progress


• Supporting business development activity if keen to do so

The Senior Project Manager The successful Senior Project Manager will have:

• Previous construction consultancy experience


• Strong residential project experience


• Experience delivering housing association, build to rent or large-scale residential schemes


• Ability to lead projects independently from day one


• Pre and post-contract project delivery experience


• Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or similar


• Ideally chartered MRICS, MCIOB or MAPM, although support can be provided if not yet chartered


• Strong client-facing and communication skills
